Review on 🐠 SunSun Hw303B Pro Canister Filter Kit with 9-watt UV Sterilizer - Enhanced 370GPH Flow Rate by Julie Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No leaks, no metal clips required and compatible with built-in external Datoo heater

Overall I'm happy with this filter but I'm new to canister filters and it only lasts a week. However, I am not new to aquaristics and have been using sump systems and hanging rear filters for over 30 years. I finally bought a sunscreen after reading many articles on the best filters, sunscreen customer reviews, and watching YouTube videos on how to maintain it. So far my experiences have been positive. One of the zippered mesh pouches that contained the ceramic rings was torn, but that's easily fixed with a needle and thread - the pouch isn't really needed anyway. Everything else was in excellent condition. The instructions are short and must be read, but generally it's fine if you have good problem-solving skills and imagination. Plastic fittings that come with the filter and compatibility issues with in-line heaters. I bought a Datoo built-in heater (I believe it's a solar solar heater by another name - it measures temperature in Fahrenheit, not Celsius). I had no compatibility issues and no leaks. This is almost unbelievable as so many experienced aquarists report leaks and the need for metal clamps. I haven't had any of these problems. I've held my breath and put everything in buckets to catch water if the hoses fail, but it's all dry. the height of my aquarium. This tube comes with two extensions so don't worry if I take off too many. Otherwise no further problems. Note: Not all Sun Canisters are UV light and come with filter material. I bought the 303B and it comes with both. The overall rating is 4 stars because it is only open for a week. Update: I would like to remind you that this is my first canister filter. It's been several months, no leaks, not even a hint of a leak. As far as I can tell there is no need to buy metal hose clamps (which I did based on reviews and ended up wasting money). Easy to Clean - Simply remove and replace all filter baskets. For those of you who have never used a canister filter, I was concerned how I would remove the hoses without pumping out all the water - there is a lever that seals the hoses and releases them from the canister cap. The water stays in and I don't have to worry about the heater burning out (although I unplugged and waited a bit before servicing the canister). I have changed my rating to five stars. Great price, great performance, easy maintenance.
