I have never used a coffee pot but bought it to make espresso to make Starbucks style lattes at home. I'm very happy with it and it's really easy to clean. I chose stainless steel because I heard about cooking with aluminum. It was a bit of a shame because I find the aluminum ones much nicer, but this one is downright attractive. Based on the recommendations I found on the coffee subreddit, I heat the water to 200 degrees before pouring it into the tank. . Being stainless steel, it heats up instantly and that makes it a bit difficult to unscrew the top half. To get around this I place the base on a hot silicone pad and then use a silicone glove to hold it still while I screw on the top. It's a bit cumbersome, but works well.
