First check the type of ventilation. I got this for rental cars and on my first rental I had center vents that didn't point to my eye line. I had to use a different vent which meant I couldn't charge my phone while it was in the base (I only had a 3ft cord). Then my phone dropped 7 times in four rental days. If I hit a bump on the freeway, the phone slipped or fell off the base. The base also continued to cover the vent (was too heavy with the phone on it and the pins weren't wide enough to hold it open). I have an iPhone but NOT a Plus. I used a magnet to use with the case. If I had used a straight magnet it might not have slipped off as easily. But I don't want to put a magnet on the outside of the case (there is a photo on it and the magnet will cover a significant part of the photo.
