Review on Gerber MP400 Compact Sport Multi-Plier: A Reliable Stainless Steel Tool [45500] by Erik Barela

This is a small redesign of my favorite multi tool and it's not as good as the previous tool (same part number). As already mentioned, the knife blade is different. The open slot on the knife blade used to retrieve the knife no longer goes all the way through the blade, but instead faces INSIDE of the multitool. This makes it almost impossible to open the knife blade with one hand. You'll have to try and get your finger (or part of your finger) inside the multi-tool to get the knife out, which will almost certainly require two hands. One-hand operation was the main advantage of the previous tool. Now, however, it's just an average (but good) multi-tool. If I could find an outdated model I would buy it.
