Review on Fisher Price Code N Learn Kinderbot by Corey Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely a win. best in musical toys

Oh this little robot is really too cute and funny! It was a Christmas present for my 3 year old who is totally obsessed with robots and Kinderbot was the only thing he asked for more and whatnot. We have played with him several times and I find him very funny. It has fun lights, colors and sounds. It comes with a small booklet that contains "secret codes" that you can use to program it to do things like roll into different shapes like a circle, pentagon, rhombus, etc., and also explains what the shape looks like. He also has secret codes for things like "walk the dog," which he barks like a dog and drives in the directions programmed into the code, or makes "bulldozer" and bulldozer noises, and "motorcycle" with the appropriate noises. This is also where you add additional shape accessories and you can use these parts to create an obstacle course and program it to navigate through it. I know this all sounds very complicated, but I promise these are VERY simple commands. Most often these are three buttons. And of course you can come up with your own commands and move it in any direction you want! He also makes cute "oops" noises when falling or getting knocked down. And it rolls very well on carpet. We have a very soft carpet in the living room and had no problem moving. I think this is a very good start to learn how robotics and programming fit together. I don't know if my son or I like this little robot more lol.
