I agree with the other reviewer. In most cases it breaks through. Well sometimes. I stamp cone coffee filters to make milk filters for my Simple Pulse milking machine. Place it on a hard, hard surface, use both hands to apply as even pressure as possible, and HICK. The cone filter has two layers and is stiffer than a regular filter (did she say that?), sometimes cutting through a nice clean circle. Sometimes I get an incomplete circle and I have to tear it off to the end. They always have rough, jagged edges. It's ok for my use, but I would be very unhappy if I used it for any artwork. Too bad I could use it for both, but no. wasn't cheap either! Update: cone filters do NOT work in simple pulse machines :( too thin for pulse
