I've had it for a few weeks, drove about 1500 miles and been to 3 states. So far I am very happy with this GPS. On the other hand, the included instruction manual is pretty much useless. You really need to go to the Garmin website and download the manual. It's pretty good, but I still had to figure out a few things through trial and error. It doesn't explain how well turning on and off works, for example. But it turns out that when it's powered from an outlet that turns off with the ignition, it turns on and off with the ignition, so you'll never have to touch the power button if it's just for use in a car becomes. (If you want to keep it on so it records stop time on your ride, you'll need to set the display to not turn off and then override the shutdown screen that appears when you turn off the ignition.) Download from Garmin Express, updating the firmware and maps worked fine. (I got bad news once, but I don't think it really failed.) Now for the really good stuff. It fixes the satellite FAST, for example, 6 seconds is the longest I've seen. I find the display very easy to read. (I can see my speed better on GPS than on a car speedometer!) To enter a destination, it prompts you for a number and then a street, and it starts chasing. It's fine if it's nearby, but if it's not, you'll need to click the back box in the top-right corner and type in either the state or city. This has always worked well so far. Directions were excellent. The signage pictured for major intersections (interstates?) is spot on! They must come from photographs of signs and lane markings. And the next turning arrows often indicate which lanes are allowed to turn off. I love the speed limit indicator and only found a few minor bugs where the speed limit changes. The nice thing is that when you've exceeded the limit, your speed indicator will turn red. And I really liked it when he beep, beep, beep. and when I looked at him he warned me about a school zone a few hundred yards away. :)
