Great for certain situations with some major cons

I really wanted to like this case but for my situation it wasn't the best solution. If you plan to use your iPad as a laptop replacement or for 90% of your paperwork, then this case is probably the perfect choice for you. It protects the device well and the keyboard is a pleasure to use. Amazing feedback and premium feel with luxurious backlit keys and great keyboard shortcuts. It has several serious disadvantages, the first of which is its enormous weight. This bad boy adds almost 2 pounds to your device. So if you also want to enjoy books on your iPad, this case will stretch your arm. Then again, it's on par with the weight of a rugged laptop if that's how you plan to use it. The second downside is the power and volume buttons. The edges of the case are covered in rubber and it took me a few tries to press the power button as it was very stiff. I'm not sure if this will get better over time, but it was really annoying on my test run. The third disadvantage is the lack of design. To hold the iPad with one hand, you must fold the keyboard against the back of the iPad. The keyboard turns off, so there's no issue with ghost pressing, but it does mean the keyboard is in danger if you drop it or even place it on a surface. That's probably the reason why buttons stop working for humans as constant pressing on the buttons when they are on the surface can't be good for them. That was key to my decision to return it.
