I've been using the Griffin Technology controls since 2011 and with my last upgrade to my second Windows 10 computer the thing kept crashing and had to be disconnected and reconnected for it to work. It's a good replacement for it and 100% Windows 10 Ready. The black box feels heavy and is made of metal with rubber feet that keep it securely in place. A standard USB to mini USB cable is included. The aluminum handle is comfortable to hold and a faint click can be heard about every 5 degrees of movement. On my computer I get a notification as Windows shows the action of the volume controls with a nice window showing the volume number and bar. Pressing the top of the knob mutes the sound, and pressing it again or turning the volume up or down restores the sound.
