If you slowly increase the volume, it takes many seconds. If you spin it fast, it cranks the volume up and then keeps increasing the volume for 20-30 seconds, but very slowly. The product is very bad or defective.

Just received it and hooked it up, works great. I wish they had instructions in English. Beyond the basics of volume control and muting. I opened up the case to see what might be loose and found two strips of self-adhesive wheel weights inside, one of which was loose and pressed against the (exposed) backside of the circuit board.
