My Honda key fob was damaged but the electronic module was fine. This key fob allowed me to get a new key by simply replacing the electronics and milling the metal part on a hardware key cutting machine. The only issue I had was that the key fob came without a locking screw. This is a small but serious omission as the old key fob was just damaged by the screw falling out and I have continued to use it. When you turn the key in the ignition, there is enough force to crack the plastic casing. Luckily, Ace Hardware was able to find a replacement screw.
