The standard, everything else is measured
Well if you know about bikes then you know that Deore is the benchmark, everyone else is measured. I can't imagine less. Sure, you can go as high as you want, but I still ride a 1991, old Trek 970. It should have a million miles on it. The Deore can be a bit heavier than some of the other high-end offerings you might find on a road bike. But I've raced and for the money I don't think you can do better.
