Good value but just about okay

First of all for the price - it's quite amazing. You won't find a better glove for $50, period. Anything in this price range is going to be Everlast or Title crap that will break your hands and crumble to dust in a few months. That's it. If you're new (or cheap), buy these and don't think twice. But if you're a snob like me, read on. I bought these gloves a few months ago when I started training again. I figured out the price, worth trying and had good experience with other Sanabula stuff. Out of the bag they felt pretty good and were already feeling "worn" due to the faux leather. Since then I've been using this 4-5 days a week for the last 3 months. I bought a 16oz pair and used them for pad/bag work and light sparring. My first complaint would be about the size and shape. They are very clumsy and swollen around the ankles, tight combos are quite difficult to pull off, sometimes it feels like I'm holding watermelons in my hands (maybe 12 or 14 oz is better). The wrist area also offers very little protection which is odd as they are marketed as Muay Thai gloves. Blocking kicks with them is a little rough. However, I will say that the shape makes them suitable for light contact sparring without headgear. I have had a few comments from other people about how soft they feel on the face compared to more traditional 16oz leather gloves. So that's at least a plus. My only complaint is the durability. After 3 months working with the pad and the bag the pad is starting to wear out a lot to the point where my hands were really sore after the session. Also, the inner lining has already started to fall apart. I didn't expect to last for years, but 3 months seems a bit unreasonable to me. Of course I have big hands and hit pretty hard during the session, but overall I was disappointed. If you're someone who works out a lot, do yourself a favor and buy the best (real leather) gloves right now. They will last for many years if they are of good quality (Fairtex, Hayabusa, etc.) and you take good care of them. Otherwise, if you exercise regularly several days a week, it's probably enough for at least a year.

Pros

Cons
