I had the parts fitted at a Subaru Certified Dealer and the timing belt failed - after 5800km the belt broke and the belt was defective and shouldn't have failed. The guarantee was 12,000 km for one year. Please confirm that the manufacturer will undertake the repair. I had to pull the entire engine and now the heads have bent values due to the new timing belt failing. I would be happy to send the belt back into production. For analysis, please confirm which costs will be covered for the repair. My email: dc430@comcast.net The cost of repairing a failed belt is now more than the original service. This is a factory defect, the Subaru station has never seen a timing belt failure after 5800 miles. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Thanks,
