Review on Precise Humidity Control With Xikar PuroTemp Round Digital Hygrometer, 10-Second Refresh Rate by Allan Duman

Product arrived over the weekend and I immediately did a salt test to calibrate the hygrometer. After 24 hours in a bag with the cap of wet salt, the hygrometer was showing 73% humidity at 75 degrees. Following that test, I did another test with a brand new bag and brand new cap of wet salt. The result from the second test was also 73%. While the paperwork claims that it's accurate within +/- 2% at 70% humidity, I had to take 1 star off my rating due to the lack of any actual way to calibrate the hygrometer. My understanding is that the older model of this same hygrometer had a button used to calibrate it but for some reason they removed that ability from this model.Overall this is a very basic hygrometer with no extra features and while it was off by 2%, I would still recommend this hygrometer to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive hygrometer for their humidor or tupperdor. You just need to make sure to note the % difference after you run the salt test so you know what your actual reading is.
