To be honest when I received the endoscope my expectations were low based on the Revain reviews; However, after actually receiving it, I was amazed at the quality of this item. I have no problem with my light, but since they are LEDs, I assume that leaving them on for an extended period of time will damage them and possibly the endoscope. So I'll make sure to turn them off when I'm not using them Unplug it. then the search for a coin roll or the repair of the circuit board is complete. For $20 this is an exceptional tool and I couldn't be happier. The base is okay, but at some angles it just doesn't hold up to the weight of the device. Physics is to blame. I'm not sure what some of you were expecting for $20, but as for the microscope, it works amazing and the software that comes with the mini CD works great. to record videos or take photos. for snapshots you need to adjust the settings in the amcap software before you can expect the button to work. It takes a little patience to get the focus right, but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it too. I don't think it's really 1000x, but again. I don't know what you expect for $20
