I ordered these pans because of their size. Many dessert recipes call for a 9" x 9" pan. It would be nice to have an inventory of this size so I can leave it at a dinner or church party and just go home without waiting for the cakes or the cobbler to run out. I can't even tell the pans are 8x8. I believe the manufacturer measured them from the outside edge, which is not considered part of the baking surface of the pan. I save them for my 8x8 inch recipes, but I feel like I've been the victim of false advertising.
