I have mixed feelings about this filtration system. I really like this system, but there are a few things that keep me from getting a 5 star rating. Pros: - Water tastes good. - Excellent filtering for the price, I find the filters to be of high quality. - Installation was easy. the instructions are very clear. Cons: - The Bluetooth feature is a complete gimmick. This function only exists so that the application can detect the presence of a filter. Water usage or actual filter life is not reported back to the Bluetooth app. Once the app detects a Bluetooth signal, you will be prompted for the location of the filter and the date and time it was installed. Now why do you need to specify the time and date when you installed it? Since the filter, as mentioned, does not actually receive any data from the filter, you have to enter a date and *APP* calculates the expected service life based on the installation date. This is complete nonsense and in my opinion Aquasana is trying to deceive its customer base. - Connectors for the price I expected with threaded fittings. I would recommend a leak detector with an automatic valve shut off, unfortunately this will eat up a good chunk (not all!) of your savings. You should keep this in mind when considering the $500 competition. I bought two of these systems, one of the systems I received had a leaking pre-filter. Revain comes to the rescue with their excellent returns policy, but the 50% failure rate upon delivery doesn't impress me. In summary, I know that this filter system will bite me on the cookie at some point, it's only a matter of time. . I have enough tech in the house to absorb the risks, and I don't really miss the Bluetooth functionality (I realized it was there after I bought it). Update: The filters have been changed and water is spraying out of the filter canisters. I thought the o-rings were deformed. After a bit of troubleshooting, I noticed that the beginning of the steps on each canister were slightly rounded (?). I had a set of spare canisters to compare. See picture, I used the included filter wrench to tighten the caps on the canisters. At the same time, I overtightened it, resulting in a slight rounding of the thread. That's all it takes, just people tighten their hands.
