I was looking for something shiny for my bitch as she absolutely needs some shine. I also wanted something permanent. It sparkled for a while. However, after 8-9 months, the "white crystal jewels" lost their luster. They are matte and basically "clear crystalline plastic" and their settings are gray and matte. My dog is a house dog and the collar does not get wet or very dirty. There are much better quality leather collars if you don't want the glitter, and there are better quality leather collars with better glitter on Etsy and elsewhere. It's decent for the money if you're willing to replace it in half a year or so if shine is important.
