Only lasted a little over 1 year Customer service is very very difficult and time consuming to get.

seemed like a workhorse. I kept it in a clean basement with no water issues to keep the humidity below 50 percent. The block is not very quiet. It did a good job of keeping the humidity down in the basement. I received an error code about a clog or pump failure. I heard the pump try but not pump. The hose is 100 percent clean and I kept the filter clean. I have repeatedly tried to contact the company by email, through the website and by phone. Nobody answered my numerous emails or phone calls but after 3 weeks I finally spoke to someone who was very nice and told me to take it apart, unplug some electrical plugs from the pump and try to plug it back in. To disassemble it is not a quick and easy cover removal. There are a lot of screws and things to remove and I was wondering why this is such a project for an $1100 dehumidifier just to look inside where the pump is connected. The company's warranty expired after only 1 year. I took it to my garage where it is broken. Maybe there's a solution with a new pump, but it's annoying after paying that price. To check the error code, it tells you to break the dehumidifier, unplug the electrical board or pump, reassemble and plug it back in just to check if it works again, that's a bad troubleshooting design. There should be an access panel that can be removed quickly and easily without removing the front, back and handle, and lots of screws everywhere. If it cost $250 I might give it more stars for a year of use, but almost $1100 for a year of use!

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • many things
