Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Cygolite Metro Plus 800 & Hotshot Pro 150 Bicycle Light Combo Set โ€“ Powerful USB Rechargeable Lights for Biking Safety by Chris Bertoli

Bright (and excellent headlight), broken taillight

I bought these bulbs about three months ago and have used them occasionally ever since. With the days getting darker earlier, I really rely on lights like this on evening bike rides to see and be seen. CONS: First of all I have to solve the security problem because the rear light is broken. This seems to be a common occurrence from reading other reviews, but the bright light that comes in the box broke after two uses. What will happen is that it will charge (and then indicate that charging is complete) but then run out of power within the first five minutes of use. This is really dangerous as you might think you have a tail light on when you don't and this could result in you being hit by a car. An additional minor complaint is that the mounting system used for the headlight can sometimes move, as it's made of plastic rather than rubber. PROS: Overall, the headlight works pretty well. It's really bright (so much so that I recommend tilting it a bit to avoid glare from traffic), and it seems to hold a pretty good charge. There are many lighting modes to choose from, but I usually use the lower setting with intermittent flash for everyday driving. Be sure to use the light lock feature (ie, a feature that prevents the light from being accidentally turned on) when storing this flashlight, as it can become very hot and melt surfaces that come in contact with your head.
