Overall I am very happy with my purchase. The display does everything it's supposed to do, delivering a fast, smooth, and beautiful gaming experience. The frame rate is good and works as expected. HDR looks great after some tweaking in Windows and some contrast and brightness adjustments to make sure things aren't too blurry. A mostly solid experience once you've got everything set up. However, with this form factor you make a lot of concessions to usability and things weren't perfect, especially during my initial setup - it's like a relationship, it takes some time to get to know your new partner and quickly learn what you have have some serious disadvantages. The software's menu system is a bit clunky and in some cases closes after adjustments, although you might want to make further adjustments. This is where I ran into problems because the original tiny square remote control had a broken box. I contacted the G-Story team and they were very nice and responsive and even sent me a replacement and a MUCH better remote with real buttons and a AAA battery instead of those damn button cells. GREAT support from the G-Story team! Thanks! Another problem I have is that the only way to use GSync is to use the USB-C port. I know HDMI doesn't support GSync (thanks NVIDIA). Unfortunately, if your GPU doesn't have a USB-C output, you won't be able to control it through one of the display ports. The supposed "bi-directional" DP to USB-C cables don't work as advertised - they're supposed to be one-way USB-C to DP (not vice versa) for laptops, and I think RTX 2000 series GPUs . My rig has a 1080 Ti that doesn't have a USB-C output, and the newer 3000 series dropped it too. So I'm guessing you'll only be able to get GSync if you have a 2000 series GPU with USB-C output or maybe a laptop that supports it? I think in future iterations I'd like the G-Story guys to figure out how to put a real display port or mini DP port on this thing. The stand is not very good. It's very uncomfortable, connected with magnets and has a corner that leans back too far, and it always detaches or slides back at the slightest bump. I understand they were looking for something cheap that could flip and protect the monitor, but come on guys! It is your decision? it sucks. So I'm considering getting an adjustable wire recipe stand or rubber pad to sit on the table to give your new monitor some support. At the very least, sell the best add-on that fits your stupid two-bolt mounting solution you offer. This is part of my relationship metaphor, which is abusive codependency where you either have to give up and let it win or put an end to it. Like when she wants kids but you don't. You either let her deal with her position and her frustrations, or you take a stand and give her a home in support of your partner's codependency issues rather than her taking steps to plug the gaping hole. Inside. Where was I? oh yeah, and one last thing - put the damn connectors on the back or the left side, or wire them with 90 degree angles. Most people are right-handed, and my mouse keeps bumping into those darn wires, which of course causes my flimsy baby stand to slide out the back. He's such a loser. So aside from those few flaws, this is an overall solid portable monitor with a great display, and I give it my recommendation.
