I bought these to wear for the Spartan Ultra Beast (30 miles) and they worked very well. They protected my legs and feet without cramping. They have never slipped and to be honest I almost forgot I was wearing them. Like others, I was concerned about thickness/warmth and water retention. No problem. It's great BUT my heels are worn out on both socks after just one long run. I expected them to be a bit more durable and was looking forward to wearing them at future races. If my heels hadn't burned out after 30 miles of mountain running I would have given this 5 stars. They did their job and exceeded all of my expectations. MudGear's customer support responded to my initial concerns about durability, so I've edited my review to reflect both the company's motivation and commitment to keeping its customers happy. and to reflect the size of these compression stockings.
