Review on 🐾 Enhanced PetSafe Stay & Play Wireless Boundary System by Sherry Brown

I bought this wireless electric fence to support my 9 month old black lab. I was hoping this would work for my dog but was a bit concerned based on the mixed reviews. I spent some time installing and testing the fence according to the instructions. As well as setting the included flags I sprayed a solid line on the ground around the entire radius which helped my dog a lot! When it came time to train the dog, we approached each flag in a non-impact mode, simply using the horn. She didn't understand anything. I then adjusted the damper to a medium setting. Nothing happened, she didn't get a correction. I cut her hair as instructed but nothing. Collar tightened and still nothing. I increased the correction level to 4.5, then to 6. Still nothing! I was so discouraged and almost ready to send it back. I actually shocked myself to make sure the collar was really shocking. I promised to return the product with an even tighter collar after the last try. Finally it worked! My advice to everyone is that the collar should be snug to ensure good contact with the skin, but of course not so tight that it impedes airflow. Now only after two static corrections my dog learned that he will not cross the line, he hears the signal and immediately turns around. After some setup, troubleshooting and minimal training (only about 2 hours) I am very happy with this product. Just 48 hours after installing the device, I feel safe letting my dog off the leash under supervision in the designated area.
