I have used other silica gel desiccant bags before. A packet of my old product, fresh out of the vapor proof packaging, weighed exactly 11 grams. If left outside for 24 hours, it weighed 13 grams. After that, the weight doesn't change. This means that in the first 24 hours the product absorbed 2 grams of water from the environment and reached its maximum performance. I have now ordered a pack of 100 packs of silica desiccant from O2frepack. The product came in a thin, non-sealable plastic bag that tears easily. The bag was damaged during shipping. I tested some silica desiccants. When left outside for 24 hours there was no change in weight, indicating that they were no longer absorbing moisture. I think this is a poorly presented product due to the cheap packaging. I also think it's a bad product as the whole pack of 100 silica desiccants was probably inactive when they got to me. I send everything back.
