Poor accessory buckle design

The belt is easy to trim to fit the waist, but the buckle is a little heavy and poorly designed. When the end of the strap is passed through the buckle, the clip on the buckle will force the end of the strap to stick out as shown in the attached image (red arrows). It does not look good.
