This switch is a single pole/double throw/central snap action switch. It's well made and works well in my application. I've read some complaints from people who expected this to handle their winch motor's reversing directly. This is not the correct switch for this application and will be described as such. If you want a switch to reverse your motor, it will work as long as you have the relays that control the actual power of the motor. I used this to replace a broken lift switch on my garden tractor attachment. My snow blower has such relays in the wiring harness. You can do this with a simple switch, but you'll need a DPDT switch that can handle around 30 AM. Good luck finding. A couple of cheap automotive relays sold here will provide the necessary wiring. With this switch you activate a relay.
