Recently bought a 1994 Jeep YJ and found that the previous owner had installed a 30 Spline Half Shaft Kit along with OX Lockout in the Dana 30. The problem was that oil seals were installed incorrectly and leaked. When changing from 27 spline to 30 spline you will need these seals. TJ Rubicon models also use them because of their 30 splines on the front of the Dana 44. I know you can't find the right gaskets at NAPA or any other local parts store. On a Dana 30 equipped with an axle release system (e.g. Jeep YJ), the seal is factory installed on the driver's side and the P/S seal must be installed on the outside of the axle release window (where the axle shift motor is mounted). installed the axle tube). I used some 1/4" extensions, a hammer and my wife to drive them in. You need a second pair of hands to adjust the P/S. The seal design is much easier to install than a traditional axle seal.
