Outer seal front axle.

These seals are only to prevent water, dirt, grime and sand from getting into the axle. I like them and they are affordable and they do the job.

Yj and Xj owners READ

Gasket diameter on passenger side does not match XJ or YJ with two piece axle shafts on passenger side. If you want to use these you will need to do a one-piece axle shaft rebuild.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Faulty

was excited in Parts

Finally installed these and put everything back together. After I greased one side everything was fine, fat was blown out on the other side. Update 11/04/17: A few months later, neither Revain nor the seller have responded. Still unable to lubricate the seals. Thank you for your support or lack thereof. To update. 6/4/2018 still no response and had to delete and throw away. What a waste

As advertised for bearings and seals

As advertised make sure you ship them home when you install them! I used a 2X2 piece of ash wood with a hammer. The first one I installed wasn't deep enough and I had to pull the axle out again. Then I drove it in until I was out. As you can see in the photo, the gap from the yolk on the axis is not large. Yes, I upgraded to 1350 yolks, which is more than stock. Much luck!

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Long delivery time

Works when installed correctly.

Ready to use. 10 months later I had water and oil out of the passenger side of my YJ. After servicing the front differential, my mechanic found that 1 seal insert was sticking out 180 degrees, preventing the grease from getting to the right place. The oil seal was incorrectly installed at the factory, so the oil seal on the new axle shaft was worn out and the new oil seal did not work. I had to replace the long shaft again and get another new set of seals. This time we made sure the factory…

They're great for storing all the nasty stuff I'm going through.

They're great for keeping all those nasty things I drive through out of my Jeep's axle tubes. When I cleaned the axle tubes before installing them, I was shocked at how much dirt there was in the tubes. As long as you keep them lubed, they will keep all those nasty things off your axle tubes. Very easy to set up in the afternoon. Takes about two hours. I would recommend removing the diff cover, replacing the axle seals, inspecting the entire body and cleaning the entire axle of dirt.

Easy install, keeps everything on axles

Installed these in my Dana 30 axles for my 2004 lj. The bearing covers wore out after 225,000 miles, and after changing hubs and pulling axle shafts to check and swap out my hearts, I had all the work of installing them. I cleaned as much dirt and rust as I could from the inside of my tubes and installed the outer gaskets (just pushed them into the tubes). The shafts just came back (the inner seals are less likely to rupture) and I filled them with grease and then did the rest of the necessary…

Sits a little loose.

Received it in a very timely manner and was initially impressed with the build quality. They also seem to be well thought out in terms of design. The cases have aluminum construction that is rubberized and then has a rubber insert and I think aluminum that snaps in too. Before I did anything, I checked that the body shell was seated and loose in the axle tube on my 1972 Jeep CJ5. Not just a little, but a lot. I thought these were made for Dana 30 axles? What about it? Anyway, I really want to…

It is very good. Put them on my 2007 JK front axles

They are really good. Put them on my 2007 JK front axles. They won't fit if you have axle tube bushings, so FYI. Otherwise they are very easy to install. You will first need to cut the plastic protection off your existing axles at the U-joints and then remove the axle guides to get the axles back up. Lubricate them after reinstalling the axles. the C is on the back so I had to pull out the mirrors and use the rubber tip on the grease gun. I pumped up the grease until it came out, then put the…
