The grip is VERY strong for a standard grip. They are not a standard grip at all.
If you want durable mats I would highly recommend them but they are not suitable for cutting my vinyl stencils. As my cricut cut through my stencil I went to get the reusable stencil off the mat and I could barely get my stencil off which resulted in my stencil wrinkling and having air bubbles on it. I didn't press the template firmly against the mat before inserting it into the grille, I gently tapped the vinyl like I do every time I'm preparing it for cutting. I'll try to figure out how to reduce the sticking so I don't have to spend $23 for 3 mats.
