Had to replace standard 6" wash light. The 6 inch bracket was not covered. After trying several ways to mount with what was given, none of them worked. The base of the mount is too small and the manufacturer could easily build a base to cover 7-8 inches of the mount. Finding a 1/2 inch diameter oval of wood to cover the hole, I installed the base onto the board, Molly screwed the board to the ceiling drywall and that solved the problem. The set is quite small and the lamps are tiny. that since the track lights could be dimmed I bought an adjustable switch to take advantage of the dimming. I'm glad I did, it's very bright. The only problem with the lighting is that it's diffused rather than direct light, so wherever you point there's a wide spectrum of lighting where it's needed , rather than an intense spotlight focused on a single object The light is also in a 180 degree sphere. Overall this is a bargain for the price compared to other sets.
