Worked for me - welding and soldering
The tip on my PES51 started to fail so I bought some new tips. It turned out that my existing tip was on for so long that it stuck to the barrel. In an attempt to remove the existing tip, I modified the bore of the barrel so the new tip would fall through. Time for a new stem. I bought this one and it held the new tip perfectly. Now everything works again.
