A friend gave me this and I'm glad she did because I'm not sure I want to pay for it. player is that it is very simple. It comes in just two pieces, so you don't have to worry about bundles of cables or anything. You pull out the flash drive, plug it into a USB port, and start copying files right from Windows Explorer, which recognizes it as an additional hard drive. The player contains about 15-18 MP3 songs encoded at 128 kbps. That's enough for people like me who only walk 20-30 minutes. It's also nice to have a flash drive that I can easily transfer files from. I didn't notice the player cutting off the first second of each song as another reviewer said. Every song starts from the beginning. Cons: First, I couldn't do anything with this device until I formatted it. Windows recognizes it but won't let me delete or copy files to it. I tried it on multiple computers and could only listen to the songs that were already on it until I found formatting software, but now it works great. The player doesn't have an LCD display, so you can't see what song is playing, although that's not a problem as it only has 64MB of storage. Another problem is that he came without a bandage. You must order it separately from Creative. For a portable MP3 player designed for sports, that's ridiculous. For that price, they should have thrown it away or at least strapped it to their belts. I need to wear shorts with pockets so I can take them with me when I run. I also need to hold the headphone cord to keep it from dangling. A bandage would have prevented all that. The player comes with sucking headphones and a neck strap which is great when you're running in the woods or at night when nobody sees what an idiot you are. The player also has a "Loop" button that allows you to start recording a point in one of your songs, press the button and it will repeat the piece you recorded over and over again. I have no idea what the point of this was or why they wasted time on it. As far as I can tell, it's completely useless. My biggest complaint is the battery life. Holds one AAA battery. It's good for its compact size, but I would have preferred it to be a bit larger and able to hold two batteries. I like it when the music is pretty loud and the battery dies after 45-60 minutes. This is unacceptable. I've seen reviews that say the battery life is 12 hours at 60% volume. I have never seen it. I need to buy batteries in bulk to use them. What's more, Muvo actually drains the battery when it's turned off. I really can't figure out why. It's a flash drive, so there shouldn't be any reason why it needs to support power delivery. This isn't very important, but if you put in a brand new battery and don't turn it on at all, the battery will die through the drain after two months. WMA files also use more power than MP3 files. The player also has a skip button that allows you to skip tracks and fast forward. However with WMA files this can be unstable and instead of searching for tracks just skip to the beginning. . There is also no repeat function. After the last song, you have to press the play button again to restart it. There is also no random song function. Although this player is very outdated, it would be a decent player. I like the basic design and the controls are easy to use. It's just not worth the current price and has too many flaws to use for serious athletes.
