I do own a Ninja Neverstick hard anodized pan which has performed flawlessly for months so I was curious to try out the new line of bakeware.I gave up on nonstick about a decade ago with the news about Teflon, PFAs and forever chemicals in nonstick cookware. The one thing I did not replace was my bakeware. Instead I have been using parchment paper to line my old nonstick loaf and cake pans as I slowly switch over to aluminum - which also needs to be lined.The bakeware is definitely not the same as the hard anodized pans. They do say that they are made with FDA approved materials (which, time has shown, means little) so I was hesitant to use these without more research.The Ninja website states that these are free from PFOA and PTFE. They are made using a Silicone release coating and the metal is a heavy duty aluminized steel. All Clad uses aluminized steel in their bakeware with a ceramic coating so the main difference may be the proprietary silicone coating.As to performance and design, the pan is a dream to work with. Food releases easily, the handles are generous and it is definitely more heavy duty than my previous cake pan. The cake browned evenly and rose well.Since this is a silicone coating, I will be sticking to temperatures below 450 when using these, although the instructions say they are fine up to 500. Also, no broiler use, stovetop or aerosol sprays. Rinsing and drying thoroughly after use is recommended and, while dishwasher safe, handwashing is recommended.I am moderately happy with these pans. With more information on the actual coating, this would be a 5 star product but, with the minimal information and it being fairly new, I will still be lining it parchment paper.
