I used to have a nice cute small brass mailbox. But our new mailperson likes to slamdunk the mail into the mailbox. And for the last 20 years I haven't had any real problems with package thieves, but I had heard stories on the news about it so I decided to get this big ol' locking mailbox with the magazine holder.The area I have to install my box is tiny and this big box had a couple of options to drill the screws in and it took me no time to install it. The top mail slot is just big enough drop in the huge W fashion magazines we get as well as the hefty architectural mags. It's also slim enough the mailperson can no longer slam dunk them, but actually has to place them in. So now when I go out to the mailbox it's not hanging off to one side on screw because they smashed my mail in Shaq style.
