Review on 📷 ANNKE H500 8CH Bullet PoE Home Security Camera System with 6MP H.265+ NVR, 4X 5MP Outdoor CCTV IP Camera, 2TB HDD: Enhanced Features for Superior Protection by Rick Bear

I bought this unit (N48PAW with 4 cameras) together with 3 additional cameras. Another one will be added soon. Setup was pretty easy. By flipping through the manual and following the on-screen instructions, I was able to get the system up and running in less than 30 minutes. There are videos on YouTube but I didn't need them. Cameras CAN be pointed in any direction. I did the basic setup before installing the cameras and fine-tuned them later. Some of them are installed on the wall of the house, others on the eaves. I was able to adjust them all so that the image is vertical. The mobile app is decent. The default view is standard definition but you can change it by pressing the HD button on the screen. You can also play within the app. Playback functionality is better from the DVR screen, but it's enough for my purposes. Wiring was an issue due to the layout of my house. It would be much easier on a normal ranch or new construction. However, this is not a complaint. I knew this was going to be the hardest part. Both of my cameras are located in an outbuilding 100 feet from my house. For them I ran a plastic tube with gel filled Cat5e cable to dip directly into it. It might be overkill, but I don't want to do it twice! Overall I'm impressed. The picture quality is very good. I can read license plates from 50 feet away. Night vision works well although I haven't tried checking my license plate at night yet. For the money this is a decent system and I would buy it again. Update 11/10/2020: After 14 months of continuous operation, I have a problem with my dashcam. I contacted Annke's tech support and after several emails did in fact diagnose the problem, they replaced the unit for me free of charge. It's nice to see this kind of customer service.
