I have several M.2 cases and this Alxum is the fastest USB case I have, it hits 952MB/s but it costs heat. This case got VERY hot for me even when the drive was not in use. The device is designed so that nothing comes in direct contact with the m.2 drive, so it retains heat like an oven. The outside of the device becomes too hot to touch. However, I drilled a few holes in the case and used heater tape and a coin to transfer the heat to the outside of the case and it now runs much cooler. I made a YT video comparing the cases I have.
