In our house of worship we installed Wirecast streaming on iMac (2.7GHz, Quad-Core i5, NVIDIA Geforce 640M, 512MB GDDR5), two Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Units Mini recorder connecting PTZOptics Gen2 20X-SDI (via HDMI) and Canon HD camera (via HDMI). I purchased this USB 3.0 HDMI video capture dongle from Magewell to add a ProPresenter HDMI output (primary top display) to an iMac via a USB3 port. I had no trouble connecting the device to the Wirecast software, but as soon as I started streaming, the CPU usage was stuck at 99% and YouTube complained that the data wasn't transferring fast enough. I've never had a problem with just two cameras (usually at 50-68%). After searching the web and reading the documentation, I changed two settings that make this device usable: 1. Change the encoder presets to MainConcept H.2642. Live icons disabled in Wirecast settings. Now everything works fine (68-75% CPU usage). One day I will buy a new computer with a faster processor (to enable live icons).
