Ever wondered why there are so many complaints about Leatherman snap clips? The OEM design has 2 sharp bends to create a curve. This creates increased tension in the thin stainless steel. It works well enough, but with enough use, it often snaps. Also, when locked in, the fit isn't very tight. These titanium clamps have a wider curve with no sharp corners. Titanium itself is more flexible than stainless steel. The fit is much tighter; In fact, there's little to no play once it's engaged. The laser engraving is quite deep. Aesthetics are not important to me. But Etching offers a great buy in hand. Really nice, especially on a slippery well used wave. The quality is truly amazing so if you use your Wave, Charge or Surge a lot you might want to consider getting one of these. It's only a few dollars more than the other OEM clamp and it will perform better and last a lot longer.
