Very impressed with this stove/fireplace. I needed an appliance that would fit my raised fireplace and this model was one of the few that did. Has little depth. It was easy to assemble and set up. It supports LP out of the box, but a very simple tweak changes it to NG if needed. I ran it at max for a long time to see how hot the case would get. Of course, the front glass is always very hot, but the sides and back were cool enough to touch. The top gets moderately warm with continuous use. You don't want to put anything on it if you don't want it to get warm. The control panel is on the bottom and is closed by a door held in place with a magnet. The igniter requires an installed battery, which is included. I expected him to smell the place when he first burned it, but that didn't happen. I am very satisfied with the performance of the thermostat. In general I am satisfied.
