Product name and description are inaccurate: These tweezers are not made of silicone. They are nylon. You can tell by touching them (they're hard, not soft) and by the warmth class on the instructions (400F, while real silicone would be around 572F). I'm not sure why they just didn't describe them properly as they are just as good as silicone tongs for most purposes. not set up securely enough when closed. However, they are still very effective at getting waffles out of my waffle maker. The petite size that others have complained about is actually perfect for getting into waffle squares to grab. I would rate it higher if they really were what the description promised.
