This is the ideal infrared thermometer for energy audits and general maintenance work. It is ideal for HVAC applications. It easily detects temperature changes in hot or cold coils. It can quickly show where heat is being lost or accumulated in buildings. I like its narrow (8 to 1) measurement size. This makes it easy to define measurement ranges and easy to get the desired range. I also like the quick comparison feature, which allows you to quickly spot temperature variations in a specific area. Highly recommended.
