I was looking for a device that would tell me when my clothes were dry and if this device would do just that it would be worth every penny. Unfortunately, my wife and one daughter suffer from ADD inattention and are unable to focus on more than one thing at a time. As soon as they put the laundry in the dryer and close the door, the drying process evaporates from their brain and disappears. I even pinned a notice to the dryer reminding everyone to start the timer on their phones when they start loading the dryer. I usually wash my clothes and get things done, but sometimes my wife and kids are happy to "help" by putting the clothes in the washing machine and when it beeps, they put them in the dryer. Unfortunately, the help ends here. I often leave to start a new load and find my child's clothes in the dryer. How long is he sitting there? Who knows? I'd be happy if this device just warned me when the tumble dryer stopped working, but it does so much more. It works with Alexa, which is very cool but less than functional as Alexa doesn't skip notifications, so it doesn't notify us via Alexa when clothes are dry. But it sends me a notification on my iPhone, which is almost as good. What I love about this smart sensor is that it saves energy by notifying me when my clothes are dry before the dryer even finishes. This saved me 17 minutes of drying time this afternoon. I saved 17 minutes of energy. I saved 17 minutes carrying clothes, 17 minutes carrying clothes dryers and 17 minutes folding and putting away laundry faster. The device, Alexa, and the phone app will also show you the temperature of your dryer, the condition of your clothes (wet, damp, or dry), how long the dryer has been running, and give you an additional reminder if you're ignoring the first notification. I suggest you buy it quick before the person who created it gets hired by one of the big brands and takes it off the market forever. It works great and I love it.
