Very good well built little camera. The software is intuitive and easy to use, giving you complete control over color, contrast, etc. I use it on both biological and stereoscopes and get great results - great images. -res photos without too large files. Of course you can choose the file type for the shots and even the compression rate for the JPG. The lowest JPG compression ratio doesn't produce any noticeable compression artifacts, and even the most demanding of us should be happy with the results - there's no real need to use a lossless format, which creates much larger files. You also have control over where snapshots are saved, and you have a choice of different file naming conventions. Shooting is quick and easy, allowing you to very quickly capture a series of images in different positions or with slightly different focal points. nicer to look at. The average resolution for the 5-megapixel version is 1280 x 960, which is ideal for real-time viewing on a regular monitor. The support team is very good - they are fast and ready to help. I highly recommend OMAX microscope cameras.
