Review on ๐Ÿ‘œ Stay Dry and Organized: Liberty Mountain Waterproof Pouch by Dave Seawell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The plastic looks high quality, the velcro is solid

I think the explanation of the mechanism this case uses will explain why I'm only giving it 2 stars. The pouch has a plastic Velcro flap that covers approximately 90% of the width of the pouch, approximately 2 1/2 inches from the top (opening) of the pouch. On the other side of the pouch is a matching Velcro tab about 1 1/4 inches from the top of the pouch. When the lid is folded over the folds already in the bag, the strips align and the bag closes. On a positive note (judging by my very limited ownership time) the velcro material appears to be of high quality. The downside is that the only thing holding back water is the plastic pressing against itself and the creases. There is no printing mechanism at all. I would rate it higher if it didn't say "waterproof". I can't think of a reasonable standard for this case to be waterproof. It's fairly reliable and will likely handle small splashes adequately, but it's definitely not waterproof. The plastic seems to be of good quality, the velcro straps are strong, the colors are easy to see, but they go a little too far when they call it waterproof.
