I ordered them for a 17 Equinox. They are easy to install and the shape makes them interchangeable, so they can be installed in the way and place that is most convenient for your car and visible in any mirror. They're glass, so yes, if dropped they can break. They have 3M adhesive and so far I haven't had any problems with them coming loose. I will update if anything changes. They work just as well as the built in ones and so far I haven't had any complaints or problems. I highly recommend them. The shape and size is just what I needed.
