I have used these types of suspenders in all sorts of sizes and configurations. They are very comfortable and durable. I built wooden gates for my fence and used them to reinforce the corners. That was about 20 years ago. While the pickets I used deformed over time and became detached from the frame of the gate, without these struts everything would have fallen apart by now. I'm going to use it to build another gate and I'm sure it will last another 20 years, during that time I'll either go through Heaven's Gate or this one!
