The metal on it is quite thick (stamped sheet metal) but the overall design made me a little hesitant to install the switch. Don't worry about the mount failing, but I didn't care how the switch is balanced on a tiny platform with a little rubber band to secure it. I'll leave it for a modem or something, but I've settled on a competitor's product Switch
