It looks like one of the many small video lights on the market until you take it out of the box and turn it on. In default mode, the powerful little LED panel emits a bright, color temperature adjustable floodlight that works on your desktop for zoom calls and as a fill light for your video and photo projects. The lamp has a standard socket for mounting on a tripod and magnets in the body that fix the lamp firmly to any metal surface. The F7 comes with a honeycomb grille to focus the power and a diffuser to soften and spread the light. I am satisfied with the quality and performance. But the rechargeable F7 has a lot more to offer. The buttons on the side of the lamp work together to toggle other lamp functions. In Scene mode, colored lamps are programmed to simulate different light scenes, from a police car (alternating red and blue) to a romantic fire and a number of other options that you might find useful in your video work. Further pressing of the mode button opens four modes with a changeable color scheme. In HSI and RGB modes, you have the ability to shape the color exactly how you want it by adjusting the values that shape the color. The LEE and ROSCO modes mimic those companies' color filters. It's a great addition to my lighting arsenal and the more I play with it the more ideas I get for using it. The battery is long-lasting and recharges quickly. The manufacturer makes an app that controls the light via bluetooth, but my android phone won't charge it. You might have better luck on iOS.
