Let's start with the good. Good product with realistic flames. The heat works well, although I can see how some might think it's weak. (For me it's an extra, which is ideal) The remote control is handy. Not very good. He's pretty small. It looks cramped in a standard chimney. (The next size up, up to 25 inches, is $450, which just isn't worth it.) There's no glowing charcoal mat included. While it looks good at $70, the charcoal mat is MUCH more expensive. It shouldn't cost more than $20 and it really should be thrown in with the logs as part of the package. It's just a small piece of cheaply molded plastic with LEDs inside. 70 dollars? a black dry erase marker to dull the edges, but you can still see it from time to time. Overall a good product but I find it a bit overpriced with the mat. The tank will shake, which helps make the bottom of the smoldering bed realistic.
